Literacy

Our topic for Summer 1 is dinosaurs including lots of exciting stories and writing activities. We will be reading stories such as 'Harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs', ‘Hide-a-Saurus’ and ‘Dinosaurs love underpants', to name just a few. We will use stories as a stimulus for writing and continue to work on independent phonetic spelling and basic sentence composition.   

RWInc - All children have been re-assessed before half term and are now in new groupings. When your child is ready, they will begin to bring home two RWI Book Bag Books.  These books are designed to be read over and over so that your child can start to build up some fluency. Please support this process and re-read the story every day. You will see a remarkable improvement over time. If you have any questions, please do come and ask us.
