About our School

We are a Primary School located in the village of Rainford on the outskirts of St Helens. Our school caters for children from the age of 3 to 11 years, beginning with our pre-school group – Tadpoles, then moving into full-time schooling from the ages of 4-11 years. We are a one form entry school, and our Admissions Policy allows us a maximum of 30 children in each year group. Our Tadpoles (pre-school) group has a maximum of 21 places.  This is a Nursery run by the Local Governing body on behalf of the trust and does not affect admission to the Reception class (please see admissions section)

We are an academy school and have joined the Everyone Matters Schools Trust.  The trust is based at Rainford High School and we are developing close links with pastoral, curriculum and resources which help ourselves and Rainford High to prepare your children for secondary education and especially if they choose to join Rainford High.

We are an active member of the Rainford community, including village events such as Walking Day, links to the local CE church and Rainford in Bloom. We are also a school that serves the wider community of St Helens and surrounding areas. Significant numbers of children come to our school from other areas.

At Rainford Brook Lodge we want MAGIC children!

Motivated Aspirational Growing in … Independence and Confidence.

This is something we aim to achieve in all aspects of school life whether it be in the curriculum, through the arts or sport.  We are proud of the activities we are able to offer underpinned by a successful Behaviour for Learning policy and this was seen as a great success in our last Ofsted.

“Rainford Brook Lodge is a happy and friendly school that pupils enjoy attending... ...as a result, pupils feel safe”

"Leaders have high expectations for all pupils.. ..and have organised a well-structured curriculum that helps pupils to build on earlier learning and achieve well."

Pupils enjoy many opportunities to hold responsibilities.. and enjoy the many (extra curricular) clubs. They value trips and 'treats' ... ..to enhance learning and residential trips to develop their team-building skills
