Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools to enable them to provide additional support to their disadvantaged pupils with the aim of closing the attainment gap between them and their peers. Introduced in April 2011, it is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years, looked after children and those of service personnel also attract funding.

Schools are required to publish their pupil premium statement which provides details of the reasons for our spend and a review of how successful this has been last year as well as a statement outlining the priorties for future spending.  There is a broad 3 yearly plan but these priorities may change and the statement will be reviewed and amended where necessary annually.
