This half term we will focus on 'The Last Wolf' by Mini Grey. This is modern version based around Little Red Riding Hood. The childreen will look at conservation issues and will write a persuasive letter asking to save local aspects of nature, including trees and woodland. 

Objectives covered include:

Using past and present tenses consistently correctly

Use a range of punctuation, including excalmation marks, question marks and apostrphes for possession and omission

Use of subordination - because, when, that, so

Use of detail to inform the reader
