Climate and Sustainability Plan

At our school, we believe that caring for the planet is an essential part of educating responsible, thoughtful young people. Our Climate and Sustainability Plan sets out how we are working together—children, staff, families, and the wider community—to protect the environment and build a greener future.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through everyday actions and long-term changes. This includes promoting energy efficiency across the school, reducing waste, increasing recycling, and encouraging pupils to make sustainable choices. Our outdoor learning spaces, gardening projects, and eco-initiatives help children understand how their actions can make a real difference.

Pupils take an active role in our sustainability journey. Through our Eco Committee (Planet Protectors), Gardening club and cross-curricular links, children will learn about climate change, biodiversity, and responsible resource use, and help to shape improvements around the school.

We aim to inspire a sense of environmental responsibility that extends beyond the school gates, empowering our pupils to become confident, informed, and environmentally conscious citizens.

Together, we are taking steps—big and small—to protect our planet for future generations.
