Maths

This half term, we begin with work around shape. Our objectives are:

• Recognise 2d and 3d shapes
• Count sides and vertices on 2d shapes
• Draw 2d shapes
• Identify lines of symmetry
• Sort 2d and 3d shapes
• Count edges and vertices on 3d shapes
• Create and continue patterns with shapes

Then we move onto money which includes:

• count in pence and pounds, including notes
• make amounts in different ways
• compare amounts of money
• calculate with money
• make a pound
• find change
• 2 step problems with money

All children have access to 2, 5 and 10 times tables on TTRS. Please encourage your child to access this regulalry. Numbots is still available to all children, but most children should be starting to access TTRS from September.
